December: Artist of the Month

This month, we would like to feature @handletteredbytiffany! She focuses on creating hand-drawn artwork that is personalized to your story. 

How did it get started? 

After 1 year of marriage, I was worn out, not just outwardly tired, but inwardly exhausted from living up to my unrealistic expectations of who I thought I should be. Being a pastor’s wife, step mom & starting a new career in one year overwhelmed me. I needed soul-rest.

I found soul-rest through the art of hand lettering & calligraphy in October 2017. 

I found myself night after night pouring out my fears, anxieties & hurts. All I had was a pencil & notebook. I would write scripture & life giving words over & over until it it was engraved in my heart. I spoke it over myself & my family. 

My most requested work are my hand lettered signs & calligraphy for weddings & brand activations. I have 3 signature lettering styles named after my children’s different personalities. 

What do I love most about being a lettering artist/calligrapher? 

I love that hand lettering & calligraphy slows me down in our fast paced life. Each letter needs focus & is thoughtfully drawn out. I can’t rush drawing letters. It reminds me to slow down & be present with those that I love. 

What do I do on my spare time? 

I love spending time with my husband & 3 children. We enjoy going to the beach, hiking or having movie nights in our family room.
