Chalkboard Fourth of July Shoutout!

Chalkboard Fourth of July Shoutout!

The Fourth of July is here! To celebrate U.S. Independence Day 2017, millions of Americans will be gathering for good food and fireworks as they proudly wave the red, white and blue. You can join the festivities in a DIY spirit using liquid chalk markers!

Around this time, people are snapping up flags from all the local stores, leaving the shelves bare by the time you arrive. Fortunately, as a DIY diva, I can show you how to use the tools of the trade to make your own flag. Which means liquid chalk markers and chalkboard quotes celebrating freedom!

Red, White, and Blue 4th of July Celebration With Liquid Chalk Markers

Create Independence Day posters and signs with chalkboard materials! All you need are red, white and blue liquid chalk markers and chalkboard paper to create your own American flag. Obviously, the white and red liquid chalk markers are perfect for the stripes. When it comes time to fashion the stars, it is best to draw the white stars first and then color around them with the blue marker.

Chalkboard Quotes and Fireworks, Too!

The best part of all, though, is choosing the quote to go with your chalkboard flag. You can choose a quote that honors the courage of the men and women who have dedicated their lives to preserving the country’s freedom.

Or better yet, you can dream up your own 4th of July slogan! Think of strong words that emphasize the importance of Independence Day, or humorous comments about burnt hamburgers and dud fireworks. Ask yourself, what does the 4th of July mean for you?

Whether you’re having a small celebration at home or planning to line the streets with thousands of others to wave the flag during the parade, you can decorate your picnic table, cooler or posters with red, white and blue liquid chalk designs. The flag is not the only thing you can draw on your chalkboards, of course. You can also draw fireworks, baseball mitts, and hot dogs, just to name a few classic Independence Day images.

The kids can also commemorate the Fourth of July by making their own mini flags with chalk markers. Mine are especially fond of designing, drawing, cutting and gluing their own All-American hats!

There’s no need to run to the store to buy flags. Commemorate Independence Day with 4th of July chalkboard quotes and decorations using liquid chalk markers and chalkboards today!
